About The Giclée Printmaking ProcessThe French word "Giclée" (pronounced zhee-clay) translates in English to "spraying of ink". Giclée prints are high-resolution digital reproductions of original artwork using sophisticated printers that spray tiny droplets of ink onto media such as watercolor papers, canvas and other substrates. The Giclée process provides better color accuracy than any other means of reproduction. Done properly, Giclée prints are hard to distinguish from original artwork. Highly collectable, Giclée prints are an established medium in the fine arts community and are well accepted in museums and galleries around the world.

| PRINTING
EQUIPMENT We feature the Epson 4000 and 7600 series inkjet printers for completing the Giclée Process. With a seven color system and the capability to produce a single drop of ink as small as 4 picoliters, these printers are able to lay down over two million drops per square inch of paper! This assures the finest reproductions available today, with no visible sign of the inkjet process. Additionally, Epson machines exclusively utilize the Variable Droplet MicroPiezo DX3 Technology which allows the print head to produce up to three different droplet sizes per print line, creating the purest color transitions in the least amount of time possible. Our prints are available on a variety of media and have a light fast rating of 100 years for full-color reproductions and 100+ years for black and white reproductions. We use only the highest quality Epson Ultrachrome™ Inks in our printers, which assure consistent, museum-quality results every time we output. Full color reproductions are available in sizes ranging from 8-by-10 to 24-by-100. With a full range of high resolution reproduction equipment, expert color correction in Adobe Photoshop© Tom Kutz Photography is capable of handling ANY image reproduction needs you may have.
